Boston Spa Round Table Celebrates its 14th Annual Casino Night

Boston Spa Round Table, who are involved in raising money for many worthy local and national charities and organisations, held their annual Casino Night on March 3rd at Rudding Park. Current organiser, Stuart Stephens said: "This year the support from businesses has been incredible with over £2,000 being raised in sponsorship. The fun Casino is the main part of the event with fantastic games to play including American Roulette, Blackjack and Stud Poker. In addition a lot of money was raised from the auction. Guests had some great lots to bid on including the Head Chef from the Aagrah Restaurant Group going out to your home to cook an authentic Indian Kashmiri meal for six people!"

The event raised over £12,000 the highest in its 14 year history and the funds will be split equally between Macmillan Cancer Support - who improve the lives of people affected by cancer, providing practical, medical, emotional and financial support and Candlelighters - a group of parents of children treated at the Yorkshire paediatric oncology and haematology Unit at St. James' Hospital in Leeds who are suffering from malignant diseases or severe blood diseases.
