Three Months to Change Your Life…
So you’re diet has gone by the wayside and you
desperately want to get back on track and to be slim,
fit, motivated and successful?
What are your particular demons?
Have you tried and failed to stop smoking?
Or lose the weight you’ve been promising to shift for years? Start an exercise programme? Change your diet? Sign up for the marathon?
If you can put your hands up and say that you did keep a resolution then you’re one of only 3% of the population to have done so. Congratulations!
But for many of us, our goals have fallen by the wayside. The reasons given for the substantial failure rate are myriad and the situation isn’t helped by the fact that we lead incredibly busy, time-poor lives and have unrealistic expectations. But it’s also true that if you were to hear your reasons for your lack of success coming from someone else, you’d recognise them for the excuses they are.
If we really want success then there’s a price to pay. It may be time, effort, money or something else but the question is; are you willing to pay it? If you are, then you’re already halfway there.
Now you need our special h2b ‘Massive Action Plan’, to get you the rest of the way!
• Take a notepad and pen and writing down just one goal that you’d like to achieve in the next three months. List all the things you could do to make it work out right for you this time. Stick that list on your fridge and commit to doing each of those things daily for three months
• Look in your diary and find a little time every day to work on achieving your goal. Write it in just like a ‘real’ appointment, and stick to it!
• Make a promise. Tell your partner, your colleagues, your kids what your plan is and why you’re doing it. Tell them what you’re going to achieve and when by. Tell anyone and everyone who’ll listen. Why? Because what you’re really doing, is telling yourself!
• Make sure you get some expert advice if you can through books, magazines, life-coaching or personal training. If you’re finances don’t allow for the latter then find others who’re dieting, exercising or giving up smoking and find ways to keep up momentum.
It’s not easy to get the body and the health you want, but it can work if you are determined!
