Over the last few years Saltaire has become "the" place to live, work and socialise, so it's not surprising that when Judy Spink decided to open her own salon after eight year's experience, she chose this unique heritage village.

"We opened in May 2006 and the salon has really taken off. We now have lots of regular clients and we are finding that more people pop in to make an appointment when they walk past our door. I think our luxurious decor, relaxed ambiance and friendly approachable staff has a lot to do with our popularity, but of course we are all well qualified in all aspects of hairdressing and use some of the best products available," explained Judy.

The salon is light and airy and has been designed to be both comfortable and welcoming. I loved the huge gilt- framed mirrors and the way that Judy has used traditional wood flooring as a foil for some lovely pieces of antique furniture. It is a pleasure to see a lovely vintage glass counter instead of the high tech look found in many salons. However, there is nothing remotely old fashioned about the up to the minute hairdressing techniques.

The highly trained staff are happy to style your hair just as you want it, but if you are ready for a change they have plenty of trendy ideas to suggest!

"We get all age groups coming to the salon but we do tend to cater more for the younger, more trendy customer. We also style men and children's hair as well and use TIGI products throughout the salon. We have had a very positive reaction from our customers and we feel that our hairdressing skills combined with a rather luxurious salon with antique touches fits in very well in Saltaire."

At Mirror Creative Hairdressing you feel special from the moment you enter the salon and clients are offered their very own caffetiere or individual teapot as a choice of refreshments.

"We keep up-to-date with all the latest styles by going on courses and of course, taking note of the hairstyles of the celebrities in the magazines. You would be surprised how many ladies want to emulate a hairstyle they have seen on their favourite star! We always aim to please and can modify a style or suggest an alternative which will suit the customer," added Judy.

Judy and her team make every client feel special and when they come out they certainly look special.
