Make a Dream
Make a Dream, the Leeds based charity which makes dreams come true for Yorkshire’s sick and terminally ill children and their families held their 13th annual charity Dinner on Thursday 1st November at Elland Road.
The evening was sponsored by the Maria Mallaband Care Group and was attended by over 600 guests. Dennis Wise donated a silver ball, signed by all the Leeds United players and a day’s training to the auction and guests also bid to pay for individual ‘Make a Dream’ holidays for the charity. The auction alone raised £40,000 and interim figures for the event look set to be almost £90,000.
Francine Levin, the charity’s founder was overwhelmed by the support the evening achieved and said a special thank you to speaker Sir Ranulph Fiennes. Also supporting the evening was the wit and humour of comedian Mick Miller, Bruce Airhead, the balloon man act direct from ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent (you have to see it to believe it) and the Transylvanian Cheeky Girls.
