Welcome to the wonderful world of 'Spice Quarter' a new and exciting concept taking 'buffet' to a new dimension. Forget what you've ever thought about 'buffets' this is fabulous and with only a page to relay all that is on offer, I am going to struggle!

To summarise, Spice Quarter offers a range of Chinese, Italian, India and Thai cuisine. There is a selection of over 100 freshly prepared items available including Starters, Salads, Main Courses and Home Made Sweets so whatever you fancy, there is sure to be something to tempt you. Indian starter? No problem Ð it's freshly cooked at the Kebab Factory for you by their chef on the Charcoal Sigri. Pizza or Pasta? Choose your own ingredients and the chef will cook it for you right there. Chinese Stir Fry? There are lots of fresh ingredients with chicken or beef and then the chef will stir fry your creation. It's a wonderful concept. On top of this is a wide range of hot starters and main courses from all four 'quarters' already prepared and contained in state-of-the-art tureens to keep them piping hot. Oh and rice (pilau or egg-fried), naan, freshly baked to order and there was lasagne (which was beautiful) and thai green curry (even better).

The great thing about it is that there is something for everyone including vegetarians and fish lovers. No more arguments about Italian or Indian you can have it all. The decor is bright and fresh and the waiting staff more than happy to help you find your way around and serve drinks at your table. We were very well looked after on our maiden voyage and they change the range of dishes available all the time so you will always be able to find something new. It really is a great way to sample different dishes that maybe you haven't tried before. You can have a little bit or a lot, it's up to you!

We went on a Friday night at 7.30pm ('sittings' at the weekend are at 5.30pm, 7.30pm and 9.30pm). This is a great idea as it doesn't get too busy, you have plenty of time to get round and you donÕt have to wait for the chefs to cook for you. I thought it was a fun place and the four of us really enjoyed it. It probably isn't the place to go for an intimate dinner for two but take your friends, colleagues or the kids and sample what's on offer. The atmosphere was friendly and it really was quite exciting. When you go, and you must try it, do leave room for the home made sweets and chocolate fountain, oh and wear something cool as it does get quite hot! If you have time check out the wonderful Spice Bar downstairs it has a cute courtyard, funky music and the decor really is fabulous tiled floors, dark wood, lamps, candles, fretwood screens - I need another page to convey it all!
