Your Body ... His Eyes
'Does my bum look big in this?’
is the question most women ask their partners when they feel
insecure about their body. But do
you always receive an honest
reply? What does your partner
really think about your body?
H2B Journal interviewed a few
rather reluctant couples and
discovered what men really think about their partners.
We females are very good at picking out things in finer detail. We notice every little blemish, bulge and imperfection that appears on our bodies. Men, however, fail to notice a single line or wrinkle. Funny, then that things we dislike so much about our bodies happen to be what men find most attractive. One woman pointed out how much she loathed her bottom and was shocked when her boyfriend listed it as one of her most attractive features.
Best three features We quizzed a few women to find out what they considered to be their three best and worst physical features, and then compared the results with their partners' responses. Some men, however, wanted their answers to remain confidential.
Thinking positive We were surprised with some of the men's responses; many revealed they loved all the things their women hated! One man failed to come up with any best or worst parts about his wife because he felt he liked everything about her. She didn't hesitate in pointing out her 'witches chin' and 'bingo wings' but even with these prompts, the lovely gentleman still couldn't fault her.
Overall, the women were pleased with how their partners perceived them.
'I wouldn't have said that my face is one of my best features… and I'm touched by what my boyfriend said,' exclaims one woman. Her boyfriend was quick to mention that a combination of her facial features is what makes her so attractive. All women guessed one in three correctly when asked about what they thought their partners would say-unsurprisingly; boobs were highly popular with the lads!
No-one's perfect
Naturally, the women were far less
positive and found it difficult to come
up with their good points. We also
asked them what they thought their
partners would list as their best and
worst points, and again, they only
guessed the negatives.
One woman was pleased to discover her boyfriend didn't mention the parts that she hates but was rather stunned when he revealed he didn't much like her knees.
In the eye of the beholder
It seems obvious, then, that the only
person capable of criticising a woman
is the woman herself, since most men
fail to notice the same flaws. So next
time a guy calls you beautiful-believe
him. And do not be fooled by your
appearance- real beauty lies within.
