Blenheim Palace

Blenheim Palace

Blenheim Palace, home to 11th Duke of Marlborough and the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill is set in 2100 acres of beautiful parkland landscaped by ‘Capability’ Brown; the exquisite Baroque Palace is surrounded by sweeping lawns, formal gardens and the magnificent Lake.

Inside, the scale of the Palace is beautifully balanced by the intricate detail and delicacy of the carvings, the hand painted ceilings and the amazing porcelain collections, tapestries and paintings displayed in each room.

Situated in Woodstock, just eight miles from Oxford, the Palace was created a World Heritage site in 1987. They have an on-site civil wedding ceremony licence and can perform ceremonies in both The Orangery and the Marlborough Room. This allows clients greater flexibility and the option to accommodate larger numbers of guests by performing the ceremony in The Orangery with post ceremony drinks served on The Orangery Terrace before guests move to either the Great Hall or Long Library for the wedding breakfast.

If you choose The Orangery for your wedding breakfast and require an on-site ceremony this will be performed in the Malborough Room where they can accommodate up to 120 people.

The Orangery, which can seat 180 people, gives exclusivity for the whole day and evening up until midnight. Facility fees in the private banqueting suite start from £2,000 including a Master of Ceremonies. Menus range from £49 per person and beverages from £35 per person.

Alternatively, wedding receptions can be hosted in the Palace with access from 7.00pm. The facility fees in the Palace start from £9,000, which again includes a Master of Ceremonies. Menus start from £49 per person and beverages from £35 per person with Palace operational supplements.

Many celebrities have had their ceremonies at Blenheim Palace.
